Kristi and I stood on the balcony enjoying the tropical air. We were holding hands under the moonlight while listening to the waves, when she looked deep into my eyes the way that you only look into someone’s eyes right before you are about to bare your soul. I was sure that she was going to profess her love for me.
     “These last few months…”
She was getting emotional.
     “The time that we’ve spent together…I just want you to know that I …”
I wanted to tell her that I felt the same way and that it was ok.
     “I …I'm freakishly intrigued by you…”
What? What the hell did that mean? There was dead silence except for the waves.
     “You intrigue me in some freakish way. I never know what you are going to say next…I never know what you are going to do next. You just freakishly intrigue me. I'm just so…..freakishly intrigued”

Now I understand exactly what she meant that night and I want to give my friend Kristi full credit for coming up with a name for my minuscule movie empire. I hope that we can freakishly intrigue you with one of our films! Our first two shorts, My African Uncle (35 min) and El Cuco (24 min) will be out in December 2006, so check back for details on how you can watch them.
